Wilma J. "Billie" Hinman, 80, of McCune, died at 7:51 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2020 at her home.
She was born on March 27, 1940 in Parsons to Nicholas and Frances (Glendenning) Jones. She grew up in Parsons and attended Springhill Country School and graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1957. She attended Labette Community College.
On May 3, 1958, she and Ernest R. "Bud" Hinman were married in Miami, Oklahoma. They lived in Parsons. Bud preceded her in death on November 6, 2006.
After the children were raised, she worked for Ambassador and Hallmark Cards in Parsons. Billie returned to complete her education at LCC, earning an Associate of Arts degree.
She was an avid reader and served on the McCune Library Board. She enjoyed writing, painting, and gardening.

Greg Hinman of Erie, Kansas
Three Daughters – Sandy Hinman of Parsons, Kansas
Shari Horton and her husband, Sandy, of Pittsburg, Kansas
Tracy Walker and her husband, Clay, of Oswego, Kansas
Eight grandchildren
Sixteen Great-grandchildren
Two Brothers – Louis Jones of Pittsburg, Kansas
Dale Jones of Paola, Kansas
Three Sisters – Mary Jo Spurgeon of Ft. Scott, Kansas
Lois Anderson of Girard, Kansas
Janet Post of Olathe, Kansas
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rose Briner.
