Wilma (Phillips) Welden, 88, of Wichita, and former southeast Kansas resident, passed away at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at the Catholic Care Center in Wichita.

She was born February 6, 1920, in Monmouth, Illinois, to Homer Roscoe and Marchie Emeline (Payton) Phillips.

She was a retired secretary for US Army personnel.

One Daughter – Nancy Wright Cheyenne, WY

Numerous Nieces & Nephews

She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert; one sister, Rosalie Keeton; and one son, Jerry Welden.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
