Winston E. Taylor, 61, of Parsons, was found at 2:45 p.m., Wednesday,
August 8, 2007, at his home. His death was unexpected.
He was born November 27, 1945 in Pittsburg, Kansas, a son of Henry and Vessie Lee (Hannah) Taylor. He grew up and attended schools in Pittsburg, graduating from Pittsburg in 1964. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1964 to 1969.
After receiving his discharge, he returned to Pittsburg, where he was employed with the Pittsburg Fire Department for 18 years, retiring in 1989. He also traveled throughout the mid-west as a singing evangelist with the band "Rushing Wind" for 16 years. In 1990, he moved to Parsons.
He was a member of the First Foursquare Church. He enjoyed music and fishing.
He was married to Thelma "Suzie" Allmon on August 24, 1969 at Pittsburg. They were later divorced.
He and Karen (Rice) Middleton were married December 24, 1991 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives of the home.

His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at the First Foursquare Church in Parsons. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, with military honors given by the Brown-Bishop Post No. 704, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Parsons.
The family will receive friends at the First Foursquare Church from 6:00 to
8:00 p.m., Monday.
Friends may call at their convenience at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home until 4:00 p.m. Monday, at which time the body will be moved to the First Foursquare Church.
