Zachary F. "Zac" Williams

Zachary F. "Zac" Williams, 44, of Parsons, passed away at 2:14 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in Wichita.

He was born January 17, 1973 in Rayville, Louisiana to Charley Island, Jr. and Mary Louise Williams. As a young boy, he grew up and attended school in Rayville.

In 1994, he moved to Parsons where he worked as a butcher at Ron's IGA, Country Mart, and Save-A-Lot grocery stores. He then attended Labette Community College in Parsons. He worked as a mental health technician at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center from 2006 until January 31, 2016.

He attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Parsons. Zac enjoyed reading the Bible, fishing, listening to music, and cooking.

On December 13, 2003, he and Crystal R. Henninger were married at the Freewill Baptist Church in Parsons. She survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five children, Curtis Jackson, Jr., Jaqwaun Williams, T'Rajah Williams, Darian Williams, and Kyla Reyes, all of the home; his father, Charley Island, Jr., of Rayville, LA; two brothers, Issac Crow, Dallas, TX and Devario Turner, Rayville, LA; three sisters, Charline Foster, Rayville, LA, Keshia Williams, Dallas, TX and Lashonda Crow, Dallas, TX; and a special niece and nephew that he helped raise, Ieshia Williams, Wichita, KS and Gerald Austin, Parsons, KS.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Williams; and one sister, Sheila Foster.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
