Zoe N. Nading, 84, of Chetopa, passed away quietly after a long illness on February 5, 2021, while residing at the Chetopa Manor Nursing Home.
Zoe was born in Chetopa to Floyd and Ruth (Fast) Smith on October 14, 1936. She grew up and attended schools in Chetopa. On May 20, 1984, she received her GED from Labette Community College.
From 1984 to 1994, Zoe worked as a curator in the Chetopa Historical Museum and served on the board at the Chetopa Library. She was a licensed babysitter and foster care worker. She also worked at nursing homes and garment factories in Chetopa and Oswego. In 1997, Zoe moved to Coffeyville, where she was employed by Windsor Place as a housekeeper, until her retirement in 2007. She lived at Sycamore Landing in Coffeyville until 2021, when she decided to move back to her hometown of Chetopa and reside at Chetopa Manor due to her failing health.

Great Grandchildren – Ashley Woods; Veronica Hart; Brittain Woods; Brian McClanahan; Chelsea (Asa); Austin; Hunter; Caitlin; Kortnee; Ethan; Kayla; Kash; Lillie Ann; Charlotte; Crystle; Cody Alan; and Aaron

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Nading; her son, Alan Tidwell; one great-granddaughter, Britney Tidwell; three brothers, David Smith and his wife, Phyllis; Gene Smith and his wife, Lucille; and Paul Lavern Smith and his wife, Glenda; and Wesley's sister, Dixie Hampton.
The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa. The family will receive friends at the Community Bible Church on Saturday, April 3 from 1:00 p.m. until the graveside service begins.
