Edward E. Robinson

Edward E. Robinson, 71, of Parsons, passed away at 10:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2020, at his home.

He was born, January 3, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to John and Parlean Robinson.  He grew up and attended school in Gary and graduated from high school there.  Edward worked for the City of Gary for several years as an auto mechanic.  Later, he moved to Parsons, Kansas where he had lived since.

While living in Parsons, he worked for the former Hardee's restaurant for a time.  He had also served as a foster parent for several years.  Edward loved music, especially The Temptations and James Brown.   He had attended the Macedonia Soul Winning Ministry in the past.

Survivors include:

His daughter - LaShaundra Murphy, and her husband, Darren, of Gary, Indiana

Five grandchildren - Giovonni Davis, Amari Murphy, Elisha Murphy, Gabriel Murphy and NyShia Murphy

One niece - Sharon Haley of Gary, Indiana

Close friend - Fanny Tyson of Parsons, Kansas

Numerous stepchildren and foster children

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by nine brothers and two sisters.

Following cremation, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.  The Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons is in charge of arrangements.
